Michael Herrera conceived of the Art Program as a form of youth engagement, in which he hired Park, an SVA and RIT graduate with a master's degree, to make art and teach the youth.

These artworks were produced by Chunbum Park and the youth from 2022 ~ 2024 with the financial and material support, as well as creative guidance/ideation from Herrera.

The Art Program was a partnership between Herrera, CityKids.Org, City as School, the Loisaida, Inc. Center, and the Girl's Club. Herrera organically linked these organizations and entities to provide the best environment and resources for the youth and the artist (Park) in the Art Program.

It was a symbiotic partnership, in which Herrera provided Park with a meaningful opportunity to engage with the inner-city youth and an art-based environment, in which the artist could thrive and expand to their true potential.

Subsequently, Park was hired by the Loisaida, Inc. Center, one of the partners of the program.
